Three people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the Bay of Plenty town of Opotiki.
Police say they were called to a private function at a property in Church Street early on Friday.
They say a 24-year-old man stabbed in the back and lower body is undergoing treatment in Whakatane Hospital but his condition does not appear to be life-threatening.
Two boys aged 16 and a 22-year-old man appeared in the Whakatane District Court on Friday afternoon.
They have been charged with various offences, including wounding with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
