Police have named a linesman who was electrocuted while working on lines in northern Southland on Saturday morning.
The dead man was Stuart Andrew Kenning, 48, of Mossburn.
Mr Kenning was one of two linesmen sent to repair a powerline fault on a farm property 14 kilometres south-west of Mossburn.
St John Ambulance and police attended the scene along with heath and safety inspectors from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
The death has been reported to the coroner.
