Charges laid after crash which killed unborn child

Charges have been laid against a man in relation to a car crash which killed an unborn baby last year.
The driver faces three charges of careless driving and will appear in Wellington District Court on Wednesday.
The charges relate to injuries sustained by the occupant of the other vehicle involved in the crash, as well as injuries to a female passenger in the defendant's vehicle.
She was 31 weeks pregnant and required an emergency caesarean that night. The baby later died.
