A teenager charged with the murder of a man at Waihi Beach on New Year's Day appeared in Hamilton District Court on Wednesday.
Robert Wilkinson, 64, of Queensland, an ex pat New Zealander, was stabbed in the face and neck outside his caravan in the early hours of 1 January.
The accused, 18, from Waihi, was granted name suppression and remanded in custody until another appearance in Tauranga District Court on Monday.
