A woman will appear in Christchurch District Court after a man was stabbed and their child was also cut.
The woman and the man were arguing at a house at Barbadoes Street, Edgeware, on Monday night, when he was stabbed in the back with a hunting knife.
Detective Sergeant Chris Power said their son also received minor cuts during the incident.
the man fled to another address with the child and called emergency services.
Both were treated at hospital and discharged.
The woman was held in custody overnight and will appear in court on two charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
