There was a series of earthquakes in the southern Taupo region overnight.
The first of three quakes happened 10km south-west of Turangi, at 11.08pm on Sunday.
It had a magnitude of 3.2 and was followed at 11.54pm by a magnitude 3.3 quake at the same location and focal depth, of 4km.
At 2.31am on Sunday, there was a third of 3.6 magnitude at the same location, this time at a focal depth of 6km.
