A woman broke down on Tuesday as she told a hearing her dentist had got her to touch him inappropriately while she was sedated.
The Canterbury dentist, whose name is suppressed, faces three charges of professional misconduct before the Dentists' Disciplinary Tribunal.
The woman is one of three complainants who allege the dentist had them touch him after they had been sedated for a dental procedure.
She was tearful while giving evidence but told the hearing that when she realised what was happening, she told the dentist he was a "dirty old man".
The patient said the dentist told her the sedatives could make people think those kind of things.
But she told the Tribunal she was sure the alleged indecency had happened.
