Two people have died in a collision north of Whangarei.
The police say it happened at the intersection of State Highway One and Richards Road in Hikurangi at about 2pm on Saturday.
Northbound traffic is being diverted at Apotu Road and motorists travelling south are being diverted at Jordan Valley Road.
