Fans of the British band Blur are yet to find out whether they will receive a refund after the group pulled out of January's Big Day Out festival.
Blur was one of the headline acts for the 2014 event, which is held throughout Australia and at Auckland's Western Springs, but the band announced yesterday it would not be playing.
It blamed the organisers but gave few details of the dispute.
The New Zealand Big Day Out promoter, Campbell Smith, did not initially return calls but said on his Twitter account that the announcement came as a total surprise.
Blur were set to feature alongside Pearl Jam, Snoop Dogg and Arcade Fire at all six of the events in Australia and New Zealand.
The band announced they will not be performing in a statement on their Facebook page, citing what they say were the constantly shifting goalposts and challenging conditions of the organisers.
The band says they worked hard with the organisers and considered every option to make it happen but the organisers have let them and their fans down.
Auckland's event is being held at Western Springs Stadium on 17 January.
A music promoter and events manager, Manolo Echave says refunds are usually at the discretion of organisers but it is unlikely fans would be entitled to get their money back.
The promoters did refund tickets when Kanye West pulled out of the 2012 concert.
