Charge against lawyer thrown out

10:11 pm on 30 January 2014

The disciplinary body for lawyers has cleared Treaty solicitor Donna Hall over a land sale near Taupo.

Ms Hall was accused of representing more than one party in the sale and bringing the law profession into disrepute.

The case was brought by Law Society's Standards Committee.

But the Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal has dismissed the charge, saying Ms Hall was not negligent or incompetent.
