Women are being urged to come forward if they believe they have been targeted by a man police call a deceptive online-dating predator.
Police say Shane William Grogan, 46, has been meeting women online, then going to stay with them.
They say the man, who is also known as Shane Calder, gains his victims' trust to access their homes and possessions.
Police say he stays with his victims for up to a week.
They know of at least three women who have then had items such as cash and jewellery disappear.
In one case in October he is suspected of taking a Rotorua woman's bank-card and car.
The other women were from Palmerston North and Waimate.
Warrants have been issued for Mr Grogan's arrest on dishonesty charges.
