A German tourist missing for several months has been found.
Police say Anja Schulze has been found safe and well in central Otago and they have alerted German authorities.
The woman was unaware there were concerns for her safety or that police were looking for her.
Ms Schulze arrived in New Zealand on 7 December last year and travelled throughout the North Island before boarding a ferry to Picton on 29 January.
Friends had raised concerns with German authorities when she stopped regular communication with them on 2 February.
