Arun Kumar, 57, died in his Henderson dairy after being attacked on 10 June. The police say he appeared to have stab wounds to his neck.

A 13-year-old denies charges of murder and assault with intent to rob, while a 12-year-old denies charges of manslaughter and assault with intent to rob.

In the High Court at Auckland this morning, the 13 year-old's lawyer, Marie Pecotic, said she was getting reports from experts. When Justice Brewer asked what they were about, Ms Pecotic declined to say.

The two boys are due back in court next month for a bail hearing and are due to go on trial in November.
