A well-known New Zealand comedian accused of a child-sex charge has made another court appearance and has been remanded on bail without plea until 17 February.

The man was granted continued interim name suppression in Auckland District Court on Tuesday.

He faces a charge of unlawful sexual connection with a child aged under 12.

The man was also granted variations to his bail conditions.

He must not contact or communicate with Crown witnesses or have a passport.

He is also not to have contact with any children under 16 years of age without supervision.

Name suppression will again be reviewed at a post-committal conference in February.
