A boy is in Waikato Hospital after being attacked by four dogs on Monday evening.
He has undergone surgery, but his condition is unknown.
Police say the boy, aged 13, from Waitoa near Morrinsville, was attacked by four pit bull-greyhound cross hunting dogs which had escaped from their owner's property.
The dogs have since been destroyed at the request of their owner.
Police say charges may be laid.
