Mr Cerven left Glenfield about 4.30pm on Sunday, after telling associates he would hitch a ride to the city.

Detective Inspector Kevin Hooper said police wanted to speak to anyone who may have encountered him.

Mr Cerven called the police from Myers Park just after 7.20pm that evening and was fatally shot at 7.45pm.

CCTV footage shows a man in a hooded jacket, who may have talked with Mr Cerven while sitting on a park bench.
