A teenage boy has reportedly been charged with murdering a New Zealand man living in the United Kingdom.
Northumbria Police said David Savage, 42, was stabbed last week in Gosford, Newcastle, and died from his injuries.
Mr Savage had dual citizenship and grew up in New Zealand.
A family spokesperson said his partner and two children were devastated.
Local media reported a 17-year-old had appeared in court charged with murder, and would go on trial in February.
