A teenager has been found guilty of murder after shooting a man in the face at close-range in Hamilton earlier this year.
Tyson-Tainui Rukuwai-Te Tomo, 17, killed 29-year old Michael Thompson in the suburb of Melville in February.
A jury in the High Court in Hamilton returned its verdict this afternoon after deliberating since yesterday afternoon.
A second teenager, 18-year old Mana Williams, has been found not guilty of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He had earlier pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon and threatening to kill.
Rukuwai-Te Tomo will be sentenced on 30 October.
