Herculean effort on Air Force exercise

9:03 am on 27 January 2016

More than 180 Airforce and Army personnel will tomorrow wrap up a two-week exercise in the Hawke's Bay.

Exercise Skytrain focused on flights and aerial drops from C-130 Hercules planes, working with night vision equipment and training for capture on a mission.

A miniature tent city was set up at Napier Airport, recreating a forward working base which can be established anywhere in the world.

Kate Pereyra Garcia and RNZ photojournalist Alexander Robertson went along to see the action.
