A nine-year-old girl has been flown to Hutt Hospital after being injured in a house fire in Nelson.
She was one of five children who escaped the burning house last night on Weka Street.
Three others were also taken to Nelson hospital, but have since been discharged.
The fire service said the fire, which was not being treated as suspicious, started in the kitchen of the house.
