Police are searching for four people involved in an armed robbery in Lower Hutt tonight.
The Lower Hutt store owners in the suburb of Taita were threatened with a sawn-off shotgun and knife just before 9pm, police said.
No-one was injured but a till was taken during the robbery.
They said the robbery involved a blue 1995-model BMW with the number plate BRE645, and four people were in the car.
The four are then believed to have left the Taita Drive store in a blue BMW.
Police said anyone who saw the car should call them immediately by phoning 111.
