Hastings police are investigating a weekend attack on staff at the amusement park Splash Planet which left two staff members with head injuries.
Police arrived at Splash Planet at midday yesterday, after reports of fighting.
Two male staff members were hospitalised with head injuries, after an altercation with young patrons over the misuse of equipment.
Both men were discharged from hospital on Sunday night.
Hastings District Council chief executive Ross McLeod said he was shocked at the level of violence in the incident.
He said procedures and staffing will be reviewed, and trespass notices issued to anyone found to be involved.
Police are calling for witnesses to come forward, while Splash Planet management are offering counselling to staff.
