Fire crews have battled to contain a house fire near Tirau in Waikato this evening.
Crews were called to the house in Pakaraka Road shortly before 6.30pm.
Fire service shift manager Colin Underdown said the fire started in a garage and spread to the house.
He said 10 fire engines and three tankers helped put out the blaze.
Nobody was hurt, but Mr Underdown said one firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.
A fire investigator is at the scene.
