A large diesel spill on State Highway 6 , between Nelson and Blenheim, has been cleared.
Police said it was thought the spill was about 20km long, stretching between Central Road and Hori Bay Road.
The road remained open as the spill was being cleared, but motorists in the area have been asked to take care.
The Marlborough District Council was also alerted to the spill.
