Employers' warning over weary World Cup watchers

Employers are sounding a warning to potentially bleary-eyed World Cup supporters as the All Whites play their games.

The Employers and Manufacturers Association expects many fans will come to work sleepy after watching late games from South Africa.

Chief executive Alasdair Thompson says employers should make clear their expectations and arrange leave for staff if necessary.

But Mr Thompson says most workers are resilient enough to handle a late night.
