The law firm, which provides legal services to the government, is in the spotlight over serious allegations levelled at two senior lawyers at its Wellington office, two years ago, and separate revelations of alcohol-fuelled sex in a boardroom.

The School of Law said it had cancelled the event planned for 6 March due to the "ongoing investigations into improper conduct by employees" and concerns about the firm's work culture.

An email sent by the faculty said the school wanted to support its students and provide opportunities with prospective employers who they can be confident would provide a supportive work environment.
