A man charged over the kidnapping and assault of a Wairarapara real estate agent has admitted all charges at the start of his trial.
Nigel Whakarau, 39, appeared in the High Court in Wellington and pleaded guilty to kidnapping the agent, assaulting her with intent to rob her and aggravated robbery.
The incident occurred during a private viewing of a case in Carterton in August last year.
Whakarau was remanded in custody for sentence in June.
The Crown has indicated it will seek a sentence of preventive detention.
