Two people are dead after separate crashes in Northland.
A 33-year-old man died in hospital on Friday evening after his motorcycle and a car crashed near Russell about midday.
Later, a Nissan Navara with three passengers skidded and rolled on Ninety Mile Beach, killing the driver.
Police have named him as Thomas Walker, 27.
The accident happened north of Hukatere when the tide was high.
