Police have recovered the body of an elderly man from the Waikato River.
A police helicopter and divers had been searching for the 73-year-old after he was reported missing from the Port Waikato area on Saturday.
Police say the body was found by divers about 11am on Monday.
They say the man, who appeared to have fallen into the river while trying to board his boat, was found about 150 metres downstream from where he was last seen.
The man's family members were notified at the weekend and are on their way to New Zealand.
