Police investigate after body found near Auckland train station

Police are at the scene of a sudden death in Auckland after a body was found on a public walkway.

Unexplained death in Taita, Lower Hutt early on Sunday 26th January 2020.  A Police cordon and crime scene invetsigation tent were in place Monday 27th January 2020.

Police said the person found near the Glen Innes train station this morning was a 37-year-old woman.

An investigation has begun and the death is being treated as unexplained.

Cordons are in place, and the walkway - between Felton Mathew Avenue and the station - will remain closed until further notice. The station itself would remain open.
