A paraglider has been taken to hospital after crashing near Queenstown.

The police and St John Ambulance medics were called to Speargrass Flat, near Lake Hayes, just before 10.30am.
The pilot was found, and taken to Lakes District Hospital with moderate injuries.
A person was killed after a paragliding accident near Raglan on 20 December, and on 30 November a paraglider was critically injured near Wānaka.
Emergency services were called to the accident on the beach near Ngarunui Beach Road about 2.30pm.
The paraglider is in Dunedin Hospital after the crash this afternoon.
