Police are appealing for information following the death of a pedestrian on State Highway 1 in Piarere, Tirau on Saturday.

Police say a pedestrian who died while walking on State Highway One near Tirau on Saturday night was struck by four vehicles.
They have identified three of the cars but are asking for the fourth driver to come forward, or for anyone who saw a flat deck ute to contact the police.
The pedestrian was hit in Piarere about 8.30pm.
Police say they are interested in making contact with motorists who were in the area at the time.
