Police seek woman for Grafton murder, advise public not to approach her

A woman is being sought for the murder of a man in the early hours of on Sunday morning.

The man's body was discovered by members of the public in a car park on Symonds Street, central Auckland and police were called to the scene at about 5.20am.

There was a warrant out for the arrest of Whitney Iraia-Burgess, detective inspector Glenn Baldwin said.

Iraia-Burgess should not be approached but anyone who saw her was asked to call 111 immediately quoting file number 230312/0658 or Operation Duke Blue, police said.

Baldwin said she may be driving a grey Honda Accord with the registration plate PHL347.
