Cathedral Square in Christchurch is to be transformed into a covered ice skating rink as part of an arts festival.
A 30-metre inflatable dome will be home to an ice rink from 23 July to 23 August featuring art, performances and shows.
Canterbury Tourism says it will be a huge attraction this winter and it is hoped the dome will attract winter sports enthusiasts to the city for the festival.
