Police in Christchurch are investigating a suspicious fire in a large commercial shopping area.
Gas cylinders reportedly exploded at the Tower Junction in the suburb of Addington at about 10.30pm on Wednesday.
Two firefighters received minor injuries and have been treated at Christchurch hospital.
The Fire Service says there were also reports of power outages, but the faults have since been fixed.
