Police in Manawatu say out of 3000 drivers stopped in a blitz on Friday, not one person was over the drink-drive limit.
Operation Monty took place on State Highway 1 between 3pm and 7pm at Ohakea.
Alcohol was detected on 14 drivers, but none were over the limit.
Senior Sergeant Kris Burbery says police are delighted with the result.
However, he says the number of out-of-date warrants of fitness were of concern, with 71 infringement notices issued during the operation.
