Two people have been arrested in a police raid on a clandestine P lab in rural Northland. A pistol and a home-made bomb were seized.
Officers who searched a house at Tangiteroria, west of Whangarei, on Wednesday seized a pistol and a home-made bomb - along with chemicals and equipment that can be used to make methamphetamine.
A 38-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman have been charged with manufacturing the drug; the man will also face charges relating to the firearm and explosives.
Northland police think the lab, a big one, had been operating for weeks. They say four children under 14 were living in the house and had been exposed to dangerous chemicals.
