A large fire caused traffic havoc in central Christchurch early on Tuesday evening before being brought under control.
As four appliances fought the fire in a vehicle rental building, several streets between Moorhouse Av, Madras St and St Asaph St were closed.
Fire Safety was also called, indicating that the cause of the blaze may be suspicious.
No one was injured and it is not known what the extent of the damage to the rental business is.
