New Zealand shot putter Valerie Adams has scored her first win of the season over her rival Nadzeya Ostapchuk of Belaruss.
Representing Asia-Pacific, Adams won the Continental Cup title in Croatia with a season's best throw of 20.86 metres, 78cm ahead of Ostapchuk.
Her four best throws were also her four best of the season.
The Commonwealth Games start on 3 October.
