The New Zealand Herald is dominated with the killing of Carmen Thomas. It reports that new arrests are likely and that police say two other people are of interest to them.
The Herald has a large photo of Ms Thomas's ex-partner Bradford Callaghan, who is charged with her murder, as he arrived in court on Tuesday in the back of a police car. Police are still looking for the body.
Dominion Post
The Dominion Post says that toilets that don't flush rather than terrorism could thwart New Zealand's participation in the Delhi Commonwealth Games.
The paper says officials have found piles of cement in the bathrooms, mould and rubbish everywhere in the Kiwi athletes' village.
The paper also reports that three buildings in Wellington thought to date from the 1870's. are to be bulldozed by developers.

The Press reports that crippled sewer and water lines in Christchurch will cost more than $100 million and take more than a year to fix. The paper says insurance will cover most of the costs of the clean up.
The Press also reports that horror over the state of the housing for New Zealand athletes in Delhi could put the Commonwealth Games at risk.

The Otago Daily Times says New Zealand's engineering system may have to be reviewed in the wake of Saturday's roof collapse at the Southland stadium. The paper reports structural engineer Dr Charles Clifton as saying a commission of inquiry might be needed into the collapse.
And a boy,confined to a wheelchair four years ago because of a hip condition, is now in training for next week's junior snowboarding nationals at Cardrona.
