Police in Christchurch have arrested a man in a case they originally classified as not suspicious.
The unnamed 22-year-old has been charged with the murder of Alexsis Maria Tovizi, 21, whose body was found at a Stanmore Road address late last year.
Police issued a statement on Thursday in which they said the case had not seemed suspicious at first, but inquiries had continued and an arrest made.
The man will appear in Christchurch District Court on Friday.
