Hotchin says his family has been persecuted

Former Hanover director Mark Hotchin says his family has been subjected to mindless persecution including break-ins, harassment and vandalism.

He says his late father's memorial plaque has also been taken.

Mr Hotchin says he has repeatedly apologised to Hanover investors for the failure of the business but intense media scrutiny has led to a witch-hunt of his immediate and wider family.

He says his family are extremely distressed by the cowardly and spiteful taking of the plaque.

He says neither his father, Lloyd Hotchin, nor his family have done anything to deserve the cruel treatment and he's asking that the plaque be returned.
