Attorney-General Chris Finlayson has announced that Wellington barrister John Stephen Kos has been appointed a judge of the High Court.
Justice Kos graduated from Victoria University in 1981 and is currently Pro-Chancellor of Massey University and an honorary lecturer in Law at Victoria University.
He will be sworn-in on 5 May and will sit in the High Court in Wellington.
