A man who murdered an Auckland college student is due to appear in court on Monday to appeal against his conviction.
Haiden Davis fatally stabbed 17-year-old Augustine Borrell at a party in the Auckland suburb of Herne Bay in 2007.
In March 2009 he was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum non-parole period of 10 years.
The case provoked a discussion about bail laws because Davis was on bail for aggravated robbery when he committed the killing.
