Police have charged the former boyfriend of a young New Zealand woman with murder, following her death in Britain in May. Two others are charged with perverting the course of justice.

Emily Longley, 17, was found dead in May at the home of Elliott Turner in Bournemouth, on the south coast of England.

Bournemouth police say Mr Turner, 20, has been charged with murder and perverting the course of justice.

Police say two other people, Leigh Turner, 53, and Anita Turner, 54, have been charged with perverting the course of justice.

BBC correspondent Ed Sherry says Ms Longley's family is relieved an arrest has finally been made and has asked for some space to come to terms with their loss.
