Daily Guangzhou - Auckland flights from November

7:09 am on 22 August 2011

China Southern Airlines will increase its flights between Guangzhou to Auckland from three times a week to daily from November.

Auckland Airport's commercial general manager aeronautical, Glenn Wedlock, says that's good news for the travel industry, and should provide an estimated $100 million boost to the New Zealand economy.

Mr Wedlock says the new services arrive just in time for New Zealand's high tourist season, and, after the Rugby World Cup, will continue to drive the 20% growth the airport's been seeing in the market.
