Police are investigating an attack on a woman at the Massey University campus in central Wellington on Tuesday night.
The police say a man approached her from behind at about 10pm. He covered the woman's mouth with his hand and dragged her into a secluded area of the Taranaki street campus.
Police say she was able to scream for help and punch the assailant , who ran off.
The woman has described the man as caucasian, of medium height and build with light coloured hair. He appeared to be aged between 25 - 35.
