Two people have been found dead at a property in the Western Bay of Plenty.
Police were called on Sunday afternoon to a residential property in Pukehina, on State Highway 2 east of Te Puke, and found the bodies of a man and a woman.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Loper said officers secured the scene, and commenced initial inquiries.
Police are treating the deaths as suspicious and will carry out a detailed scene examination at the property.
