Police are investigating an incident in which it appears a father and son were deliberately run over in Manurewa on Saturday.
Police were called to a party in Brent Place, Manurewa, just before 5am.
Senior Sergeant Ian Brenchley says it appears that the two men were deliberately knocked over and then reversed over.
He says the injured men were uncooperative with the police and the ambulance service when they arrived at the scene.
The two men were taken to Middlemore hospital.
The hospital says the father is in a critical but stable condition in the intensive care unit, while the son is stable.
