A man has been charged with the murder of a woman found dead in the Christchurch suburb of Spreydon.
Police say the body of a 47-year-old woman was found at a house in Cobham Street at about 5.30pm on Tuesday.
They say a 54-year-old man was charged with murder in the Rangiora District Court on Wednesday.
Christchurch police and ESR scientists have been at the property where the woman's body was found and are expected to remain there for a few days.
